Matthew 6:26
“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
God values humanity, he values every human being and is very particular about every life. We should do our utmost to feed, clothe and value others especially those in need and those without. We can all do something, no matter how small.
There is so much abundance as well as waste across the globe. This can be converted into a resource and can change a life or lives. We must remember humanity, we must remember others – even if we don’t know them.
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind”
Do not fear or do not be afraid is written more than 300 times in the bible. God reminds us almost everyday not to fear. Life’s challenges, lack, vulnerability, dejection, a hopeless heart and so many other circumstances can cause fear and powerlessness. It’s important to promote strength in peoples mind, body, soul and spirit. Reaching out and touching lives ignites power, love, soundness of mind and a sense of being well.
Romans 1:11-12
“I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith”
So many of our brothers and sisters need strength and encouragement. There is no greater gift than sharing and experiencing the love of God with each other through acts of kindness.
Sometimes it’s a word, sometimes it’s a seed, sometimes a visit, sometimes it’s our time, sometimes it’s just listening and understanding, whatever it is – it counts and it strengthens the soul.
The depth of joy experienced when you feel loved, considered and counted is untold. Let’s long to go and see those that are too often forgotten – We can uplift a soul.
Psalm 22:30-31
“Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it”
Generations that succeed us require shoulders to stand on. We come before them to pave the way so that they may become and come to the saving knowledge of The Lord. There are ample resources in the world to provide a better future for every child. We are the generation that can choose to invest in posterity, not only materially but in life skills, wisdom, direction and much more. God will honour this choice because children are his heritage. Let’s invest in the future. Let’s create and instil lasting precepts whilst building foundations that outlive us.
