About Walk and Worship

• Winter Walk and Worship (In partnership with Jesus House London) 2017

• Target amount was around £2500 – Target achieved was £4000
• Hamper costs £25 each – 160 worth of Hampers raised
• Team of up to 30 volunteers took part to make for the successful event
• In aid of Christmas Lunch on Jesus – A Jesus House London outreach initiative to extend the love of Christ in the festive season. This is done through donating Christmas Lunch Hampers to families and individuals in the community whose Christmas maybe less than special, due to extenuating circumstances

During a walk following a pivotal time in my Christianity, I heard the Lord admonish me to give back to humanity as much grace had been afforded me. As I walked, I felt the spirit lead me to gather team members in the team I served and raise funds for CLOJ with a Walk and Worship initiative. The Jesus Hospitality Team as well as other volunteers came together and requested Sponsorship from friends and family to aid the project and we had a very positive response and motivated team.

We not only wanted to walk and promote good health on the initiative. But we also wanted to raise the name of Jesus in the streets of London, prayer walk the streets as well as represent the different Nations in the UK whilst waving different their flags.
